You can apply here by completing a brief questionnaire.
You can test up to 1 product monthly. We maintain a mandatory two-week pause between testing cycles to prevent user fatigue and ensure quality feedback. You always maintain complete control over which testing opportunities you accept.
You'll have opportunities to test a wide range of beauty products. These range from skincare, makeup, haircare, body care, nail products, fragrances, and beauty tools.
Qualification depends on the specific needs of each study. Brands typically look for demographics that match their target consumer, specific skin/hair types, experience with similar products, certain accessibility needs, or willingness to complete required feedback. When an opportunity matches your profile, you'll receive an invitation to apply. Each study has unique requirements, so you may qualify for some but not others.
Ultimately, your lived experience is precisely the qualification we value most. No special beauty knowledge or technical expertise is required—you simply need to use products naturally and document your experience honestly. We provide easy-to-follow testing protocols and responsive support throughout the process.
Absolutely! Testing is 100% free for participants. You receive products at no cost, and we never ask for payment or shipping fees.
As a tester, we expect you to follow product instructions carefully and complete all feedback by the specified deadlines. Your responses should be honest and thoughtful, going beyond simple likes or dislikes. We ask that you use products for the full testing period unless you experience a negative reaction, and communicate promptly with any questions or concerns. You must respect confidentiality requirements for unreleased products.
Not without explicit permission from the brand. Many products in testing are unreleased or in development stages, so confidentiality is essential. Each study will clearly outline what you can and cannot share publicly. If sharing is allowed, we'll provide specific guidelines and hashtags to use. When in doubt, always ask first! Sharing without permission will result in a permanent ban from testing future products.
Testing periods vary by product type and study objectives. The expected timeline will always be clearly communicated before you commit to a study.
Products are yours to keep after completing all required feedback.
We understand life happens. If you're unable to complete a study, please notify us as soon as possible. While we encourage commitment to studies you've agreed to participate in, we won't penalize you for occasional legitimate circumstances. However, repeatedly joining and abandoning studies may affect your eligibility for future opportunities.
All testers receive a standardized compensation designed to value your time and feedback appropriately while maintaining testing integrity. Compensation includes both monetary payment and retention of all tested products.

Touch O'Clock requires all brands to provide documentation confirming their products comply with applicable cosmetic safety regulations and have completed all required safety substantiation testing before any product is ever distributed to testers. We review and verify the validity and accuracy of this documentation thoroughly prior to study launch.
However, individual reactions to cosmetic and personal care products can occur even in products that have passed all required safety testing. By participating in a TouchLabs study you acknowledge that Touch O'Clock is not liable for any adverse reactions that may occur during testing, and that any such reactions are the responsibility of the brand whose product you are testing. If you experience an adverse reaction during a study, stop using the product immediately and submit an Adverse Event Report. This form will be provided to you when you are accepted into a study, before any product is shipped to you.
